Dominion Divers was called upon to recover hydrocarbon-contaminated
material from a Manitoba lake, while avoiding collateral damage,
and minimizing the impact on the ecologically sensitive area.
A diver-operated dredge is used to pump the contaminated material
to dewatering bags. After dewatering, the partially dried material
is transported to a suitable landfill site or disposal facility.
Dominion Divers is equipped to respond to marine spills, and
to carry out any type of contaminant remediation in the marine
environment.
